Extreme bar games, `wacky challenges`: Daleiden`s The Hive hopes to be buzz of Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC - Erika Daleiden started working at her dad`s ice cream shop in the tiny northern Wisconsin village of Cecil when she was just 12 years old.

When she moved to Fond du Lac to attend Marian University she got a job at a local dinner, and then at Red Lobster through graduate school.

On weekends you could find her at Wendt`s on the Lake, where she`s considered the "right-hand woman" at the family-owned restaurant on Lake Winnebago.

And, for the past 21 years, Daleiden has been a fixture in English classrooms at Fond du Lac High School and now at Fondy Central — a passion she loves more than anything.
