Wauwatosa beer drinkers, rejoice. A new brewery could be coming your way soon. The Neenah-based Lion’s Tail Brewing Co. is looking to move into the former Wisconsin Garden and Pet Supply on North Avenue, which closed this summer.
If approved by the city, the brewery would take over 8520 W. North Ave., 8524 W. North Ave. and 2315 N. 85th St. through a land combination. The Wauwatosa Plan Commission will meet Sept. 13 and is expected to consider the land combination and proposal for the brewery.
According to documents filed with the city, the brewery plans to brew 1,000 to 2,500 barrels per year of "high-quality, small-batch craft beer in many different styles." ...
