`A true Wisconsin wedding`: These couples got married at Lakefront Brewery on Valentine`s Day — and you might be able to, too


Maggie Schultz and Mark Hackett of Waukesha planned to have their wedding on Sept. 12, 2020. Then they pushed it to Feb. 13, 2021.

Having a very big wedding at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino was at the top of Jordan and Chris Palmer`s list. They wanted Chris` extended family from Canada to be able to be there as well. 

The COVID-19 pandemic shook up all of those plans.

But it didn`t stop both couples from tying the knot in 2021. And they even did it in super Wisconsin fashion — at a brewery. 

For years, Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee has offered Valentine`s Day wedding ceremonies, which are held in a decorated, private room called the “Lakefront Chapel."...

...How to get married at Lakefront

This year, Lakefront, 1872 N. Commerce St., is offering wedding ceremonies every 15 minutes from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 14, according to a news release. 

Reservations — which close at midnight on Feb. 7 — cost $20 and can be made while available at lakefrontbrewery.com/valentines-day-celebration-of-love. As of Jan. 26, about 17 time slots were still open. ...
