This beer changes the color of gold for hopheads. No longer shiny orange, Black Gold, "Anheuser-Busch`s Pure Gold," is much higher in alcohol. Central Waters Brewing won gold in the 2012 Great American Beer Festival`s Wood and Barrel Aged Strong Stout division with their 1414 beer. Black Gold was born after being aged in the same 25-year-old oak bourbon barrels for 35 months.
